Acadiana Fiddles and Strings was started by Esther Tyree in the spring of 2008, after several of her students attended a workshop featuring a Scottish Fiddle class.  The group consists of classical and fiddle students from Ms. Tyree's studio.  The members range in age from 6 - 16.  Acadiana Fiddles and Strings first appeared at Festival International in 2009, where they entertained the audience with classical songs and fiddle tunes accompanied with trick fiddling and choreography.
