African Villlage is a vibrant ensemble of West African traditional drummers and dancers led by Thierno Dioubate, a Griot from Boke Guinea who is an mastert of Balafon and Djembe. Monsieur Dioubate has performed worldwide with  Toumani Dioubate,  Guinee vocalist extraordinaire Sekou Bambino Dioubate, and Morikeba Kouyate's ensemble Kora Konnection . Connecting the cultures of West Africa and Louisiana through their music, African Village is honored to fill the streets of downtown Lafayette during Festival International with the intensity of West African music and dance.
