(New Brunswick - Traditional Acadien)

The folk group is made of 5 musicians together for the fun of playing music. The instruments played by the musicians are: fiddle, mandolin, guitar, bass, drum, feet percussion and of course vocals. Their musical influences are Acadian, Quebecois, Cajun and Celtic. La Virée comes from a French expression “Faire une virée” that means “a short friendly visit”, and that is exactly what you get when you see these five musicians.

Since their beginning in 2001, they played in front of more than 75 000 people in event ranging from St-John’s Newfoundland to Vancouver. In the summer of 2004, they had a lot of success in Lorient , France where they played a marathon; 18 shows in 9 days!!! Since then, they returned 4 times in France. La Virée is exciting and one group that you do not want to miss!
