The Dream of the Marionettes, or Les Rêve de Marionettes, an original burlesque-inspired musical runs April 21-25 at Cite des Arts, 109 Vine Street in downtown Lafayette.

Doors open at 6:30 with Cirque du Cite, complete with carnival sideshows, dancing girls, and fortune tellers. Les Marionettes hit the stage at 7:30. 

Tickets are $10 for students/seniors and $15 for adults.

Les Rêve de Marionettes is the story of a freedom-seeking band of marionettes who cast aside their puppet master, take the show into their own hands and turn dreams into reality. A live band accompanies this talented cast of local singers, dancers and actors. Les Marionettes opened to sold out shows in the fall of 2009. The second run, with a host of new cast members, and under the direction of Steven Cooper, promises to be something spectacular.
